Timberlake Equine is an up and coming on the farm veterinary service located in Capron, IL. We have been open since 2007 providing service to Wisconsin and Illinois horse owners. Timberlake Equine specializes in horses only.
Dr. Chad Timberlake, DVM
I have a little different style to the way I approach equine medicine. In my eyes, the owner plays the biggest role in my treatment regimen and diagnostic modalities. I only see the condition your horse is in on the day I am at your barn. As an owner, you know your horse inside and out. You know when he is "off", or "doesn't look right". Horse owners are an essential part of my lameness exams.
I also believe in educating clients about my recommendations for treatment. Owning a horse is an expensive endeavor and I think I owe it to my clients to spend as much time as it takes to give them a firm handle on the situation.
Get ready for the attention getter......" I don't know everything". I learn something new everyday. In order to compensate for the aforementioned declaration, I went out and married an equine surgeon. Dr. Britany Benson-Timberlake, although not employed by Timberlake Equine, is a priceless asset for consultation. Two heads are better than one and 5 or 6 is even better.
